Wild Spring Dunes will be a public golf resort and refuge with world-class golf, accommodations, and homesites. Two courses are routed with plans established for a short course and practice center.
Set on over 2,400 sandy, secluded acres, here you will find dramatic elevation changes that highlight four distinct and diverse ecosystems: towering pines and hardwood forest, open, grassy meadows, rolling hills, and steep ravines carved by spring-fed creeks that crawl through the secluded site. Wild Spring Dunes is an escape, a destination, a place to come together in community – a home for golf and wilderness lovers alike.

“This land surprised me. I would never have imagined this kind of property in Texas. The pine forests. The steep ravines. The big hills surrounding it. You walk the site, and it’s always changing, and you can see golf holes on every part of it. Founders are going to be surprised and excited by Wild Spring Dunes the same way I was.

Rodeo Dunes (under construction)
A site rich in history and interest.
Wild Spring Dunes is located in historic East Texas, two hours from both Dallas and Houston, and just 73 miles from Shreveport Regional Airport. Flanked by National Forests, the land is secluded, peaceful, and an easy day drive from a wide variety of neighboring cities and states, such as Oklahoma City, Tulsa, St Louis, Little Rock, Memphis, Birmingham, Jackson, and New Orleans.
The Design Team
Tom Doak has completed one routing at Wild Spring Dunes and is preparing to begin construction. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw have walked and studied the land and have produced a routing for a planned second course. The site has hints of Pine Valley, Pinehurst, and Shoreacres, and we’re thrilled by the chance to watch these designers bring something special to this property.

Tom Doak is a world-class golf course architect with six courses ranked in the top 100 in the world. He has had a longstanding relationship with the Keiser family dating back to 1994.
“The site in east Texas is not the sort of windblown dunes land we've worked on in Bandon and at Sand Valley. Instead, it's more like Pine Valley, rolling land that falls off on three sides into deep barrancas, reminiscent of Pasatiempo or L.A. Country Club. Pine trees abound, as does a heathery ground cover. There is about 60 feet of elevation change from top to bottom on the site for the first course, and we make the most of it.” - Tom Doak
-
One of golf’s most respected and well-known architectural teams, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw design from a shared philosophy that traditional, strategic golf is the most rewarding.
“It is a marvelous place that feels as though it was destined for golf. the site is thrilling, sandy, and the routing has come together very naturally. We believe that this site has great potential for interesting and memorable golf.” - Bill Coore
